CLAUDIA RODRIGUEZ-PONGA LINARES

The Union is delighted to welcome Claudia Rodriguez-Ponga Linares. During her residency in Oslo (April 2026), Claudia Rodriguez-Ponga Linares will develop Re-writing the Hall, a curatorial research project. She will explore Oslo City Hall as a site of official narratives while engaging with local artists and communities to uncover alternative stories tied to migration, materiality, and memory. The project aims to generate a curatorial framework for future exhibitions, strengthen local networks, and document the process for ongoing research.

CLAUDIA RODRIGUEZ-PONGA LINARES (Madrid, 1982) holds a PhD in Arts from the University of São Paulo (ECA/USP) and a Master’s degree in Curating from Goldsmiths College, London. She teaches at Nebrija University, Escuela SUR (CBA and UC3M), and IE University. She recently collaborated with the Friends of the MNCARS Foundation and the Nebrija Institute of Arts and Humanities to develop a course on the history of performance and participatory arts. Her recent curatorial practice includes solo exhibitions with Cristina Mejías (La Panera, Lleida, and C3A, Córdoba), Aina Albo (Museo Francisco Sobrino, Guadalajara), Huanchaco (Proyecto AMIL, Lima, Peru), Eva Lootz (Sala Alcalá 31, Madrid), Clara Carvajal (Centro Párraga, Murcia), Valeria Maculan (OTR, Madrid), Sara Ramo (Sala Alcalá 31, Madrid), Debora Bolsoni (Athena Contemporanea, Rio de Janeiro, and Drawing Lab, Paris), and her role as guest curator for the Jonathas de Andrade exhibition at the Conde Duque Cultural Center, Madrid. In 2021, she and Isabella Lenzi were awarded a prize for the exhibition “Nudo Nido,” the winning project of the 12th edition of the “Se Busca Comisario” (Looking for a Curator) competition, Community of Madrid. She is currently working on a collective exhibition project confirmed for February 2027 at Collegium, Ávila, together with the Cuban curator Alexis Callado Estefanía, and the exhibition of Cristina Mejías that she has curated can currently be visited at La Panera, Lleida.

This trip was made possible with the support of PICE (Programme for the Internationalization of Spanish Culture), which fosters the global presence of Spain’s emerging creative voices.
